East Bengal put on an absolute show in the second half to go 4-2 from 2-0 down to take all three points at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium in Kolkata on Tuesday, December 17. (More Football News)

Hijazi Maher, PV Vishnu,  David Lalhlansanga all were on target, while Suresh Meitei’s own goal added to the misery as Oscar Bruzon’s men lit up the Kolkata skies with a remontada.

Punjab started off the game on a very high note, and the momentum converted to goals as Asmir Suljic opened up the scoring in the 21st minute. 

18 minutes later, they were 2-0 up thanks to Ezequiel Vidal’s goal, who then registered an assist and a goal in 39 minutes. 

However, it all went downhill after the start of the second half as Maher got one back two minutes into the second half. 

Eight minutes laterwinning plus, Vishnu equalised, while a Suresh own goal put them ahead. Lalhlansanga gave them breathing space in the 67th minute as the 23-year-old’s header made it 4-2.
